DeepOcean has completed subsea construction and tie-in work at the Teal West development on the UK Continental Shelf for Anasuria Operating Company. The field has been developed as a subsea tieback to the existing Anasuria FPSO in the Central North Sea. DeepOcean's scope included installing a flexible production riser, flowline and umbilical, using a remotely operated vehicle and specialised tooling to perform diverless connections and maximise the value of existing infrastructure.

 

Details of the Project

Scope of the Work

 

DeepOcean's scope covered several key installations. It included a flexible production riser and flowline. An umbilical was also part of the scope. These connect the Anasuria FPSO to the Teal West subsea Christmas tree. This infrastructure enables production from the field.

Diverless Technology

 

The project used advanced robotic technology. Operations were executed using a remotely operated vehicle. This was combined with specialised tooling. This approach replaced the need for diver intervention. Such tasks traditionally required divers to perform them.

The Field Development

 

The development comprises multiple wells. It includes two production wells and a water injection well. Initially, one production well will connect to the FPSO. This connection uses approximately three kilometres of subsea flowlines. This staged approach begins production from the field.

The location presents specific operational conditions. The Anasuria FPSO sits about 180 kilometres east of Aberdeen. It operates in approximately 90 metres of water depth. These conditions shaped the execution of the work. The subsea tieback links the new field to this facility.

 

Execution and Delivery

 

The project drew on DeepOcean's regional capabilities. Its Aberdeen office led the engineering and project management. This covered the subsea construction and tie-in scope. Local expertise supported the delivery of the work. This reflects the company's established North Sea presence.

Operations followed a phased execution plan. Subsea construction and tie-in activities were completed first. Commissioning followed these initial activities. This was performed by a second offshore construction vessel. That vessel came from DeepOcean's chartered fleet.
