Film-Ocean Completes Fleet Expansion With SMD Atom ROV Delivery

Film-Ocean, in partnership with parent company STAPEM Group, has taken delivery of a new SMD Atom ultra-compact work-class ROV, completing a major fleet investment programme first announced last year. The new system joins two SMD Quantum heavy-duty ROVs delivered in late 2025 and early 2026, bringing the company's total SMD fleet to six vehicles. Selected for the vessel Boka Komodo, the ROV is scheduled to mobilise later this year for a long-term opportunity in Angola.
