Newbuild Ice-Breaking Tug Poseidon Enhances Alfons Håkans Fleet

Finland-headquartered owner Alfons Håkans has welcomed a newbuild ice-breaking harbour tug, Poseidon, to enhance its towage services in Turku from the end of September. Built in Vietnam by Damen Song Cam Shipyard, the 34-metre azimuth stern drive tug has a strengthened hull and specialised propulsion for breaking ice in ports and along coastlines during Finland's winter months. Offering more than 70 tonnes of bollard pull, the vessel arrived after a 15,000-nautical-mile voyage from Vietnam.

The Delivery Voyage
