Angelicoussis Group Ramps Up Fleet Renewal With 13 Newbuildings in 2026

The Maria Angelicoussis-led shipping group is ramping up its fleet renewal programme across the tanker and LNG carrier sectors, with 13 newbuildings scheduled to enter service in 2026. By the end of the year, six LNG dual-fuel Suezmax tankers, one shuttle tanker and six LNG carriers will have joined the group's fleet. Each vessel is designed to deliver lower emissions, higher efficiency and safer operations, reflecting the group's focus on modern, efficient tonnage.

 

Details of the Programme

 

The Angelicoussis Group is renewing its fleet. It is ramping up its programme. This spans tanker and LNG sectors. It involves 13 newbuildings. These enter service in 2026.

The group marked the announcement on World Maritime Day. It reaffirmed its commitment to the day's theme. It highlighted the vessels received this year. Each is designed for efficiency. Lower emissions are also a focus.

 

The Suezmax Tankers

 

The group is receiving new tankers. These are six LNG dual-fuel Suezmaxes. They join through Maran Tankers. Four have already been delivered. These were built in China.

The tankers feature efficiency technology. They have optimised gas management systems. Efficient shaft generators feature too. An optimised hull form aids efficiency. Energy-saving devices enhance performance.

 

The Maran Tankers Fleet

 

Maran Tankers operates a substantial fleet. It has 52 tankers in total. It also has a newbuilding programme. This covers 11 further vessels. This reflects continued expansion.

The Shuttle Tankers

 

The group is expanding its shuttle fleet. Maran Shuttle Tankers awaits a delivery. This comes from a South Korean yard. Three vessels were ordered in 2024. Deliveries span 2026 and 2027.

The shuttle arm has a substantial fleet. It operates 18 vessels currently. It also has an orderbook. This covers five additional units. This reflects ongoing growth.
