EnerMech has secured a contract to provide pipeline pre-commissioning services for Chevron's Aseng gas development offshore Equatorial Guinea. Announced on 4 November 2026, the contract covers approximately 19 kilometers of rigid production flowline connecting the Aseng field to existing offshore infrastructure, supporting preparations for the next stage of the gas development.
The contract includes pre-operational engineering, project management and specialist pipeline pre-commissioning activities. These services are intended to prepare the flowline for safe operation before gas production begins, ensuring that the infrastructure meets the project's operational requirements.
EnerMech will manage the work from its Houston base, drawing on its pipeline engineering and subsea expertise. The award also extends EnerMech's existing relationship with Chevron into its Pipelines & Subsea business, following previous work across other service areas.

The Aseng development is part of broader efforts to expand offshore gas production in Equatorial Guinea while using existing infrastructure. Connecting new gas resources to established facilities can support further development without requiring an entirely separate offshore processing network.
Charles "Chuck" Davison Jr., Chief Executive Officer of EnerMech, said the contract expanded the company's long-standing relationship with Chevron. Nuno de Sousa, Senior Vice President of Energy Solutions, Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions and Western Hemisphere at EnerMech, emphasized the importance of detailed planning and technical execution during pipeline pre-commissioning.
EnerMech has not disclosed the contract value, execution timetable, or expected completion date.
