OMS Group has secured $911.5 million in financing facilities to support its expansion of subsea telecommunications infrastructure, including four new fiber-optic cable-laying vessels scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028. Announced on 3 November 2026, the financing package also includes an additional $120 million in trade facilities awaiting financial close, bringing the total arranged and pending facilities to approximately $1.03 billion.

The financing comprises corporate, trade and export credit agency-backed term loan facilities, with support from Atradius Dutch State Business and Export Finance Norway (Eksfin). HSBC Singapore and Standard Chartered Bank acted as joint global coordinators, bookrunners and ECA coordinators, while KKR Capital Markets served as corporate adviser. According to OMS Group, both the corporate and ECA-backed facilities attracted demand exceeding twice their available amounts.

The investment will support four new cable-laying vessels designed to expand OMS Group's capacity for subsea fiber-optic network installation. CS Genesis and CS Triumph are under construction in Haiphong, Vietnam, with deliveries targeted for 2027 and 2028, respectively. Two additional vessels, CS Resilience and CS Alliance, are being built in Gdynia, Poland, with both expected to enter service in 2028.

The newbuild program comes as demand for submarine telecommunications cables increases alongside the expansion of cloud computing, artificial intelligence and data center infrastructure. The four vessels are intended to strengthen OMS Group's ability to support cable installation projects and provide additional capacity for international subsea connectivity.

Ronnie Lim, Group Chief Executive Officer of OMS Group, said the financing would support the company's long-term investment in digital infrastructure and expand its cable-laying capabilities. Edward Hui, Head of Export Finance, Asia at HSBC, and Abhishek Pandey, Global Head of Transportation Finance at Standard Chartered, also highlighted the role of structured financing in supporting the company's fleet expansion.

The company has not disclosed the individual vessel construction costs or detailed deployment plans. The additional $120 million in trade facilities remains subject to financial close.
